Jivamukti Vinyasa Yoga
As beings of the earth, it is important to note that we are all connected. This idea is touched upon within the Jivamukti Method. Not only does this method stay true to the Sanskrit word Asana or “seat connection” (relationship to the earth), but it also centers its practices around compassion for the earth and all that inhabits it.
Within our Jivamukti classes located in Long Island, NY, students are taught to view asana as an integrated practice of all of the elements that make up Jivamukti Yoga, such as its physical, fast-paced practice as well as its spiritual study of meditation.
Our classes also present our students with various classical yoga teachings as relevant to their life on and off the mat, supported by chanting, breath awareness, flowing vinyasa sequences, alignment exploration, hands-on assistance, relaxation, and meditation.
